Key areas of inspection

Expiration Dates: Verify that all chemicals are within expiration dates & safely dispose of expired materials.
Container Integrity: Inspect containers for damage, leaks, and corrosion, and ensure that lids and caps are securely sealed.
Labeling: Confirm that all containers have clear, legible labels with the chemical name, hazard symbols, and expiration date.
Storage Conditions: Ensure that chemicals are stored at appropriate temperatures and humidity levels & that incompatible materials are kept separate.
Ventilation and Safety Equipment: Verify that ventilation systems are functioning properly and that safety showers, eye wash stations, fire extinguishers, and spill kits are accessible and in good condition.
